To be honest.. We were going to wait with this announcement until January 2011, but due to recent events with a rumor stating that NiP would be revived with ZOWIE GEAR as a sponsor and SpawN and HeatoN making a comeback as two of the primary players, we have decided to make the announcement today, as we do not want to keep you hopefully waiting.

While we can say that the rumors surrounding "NiP" is completely untrue, it is indeed true that a team with SpawN and HeatoN has been in the makings. While some people might be disappointed about the purpose of this team, we would like to say that we did not create these rumors about NiP being revived as a competitive gaming team.

We are happy to announce that we signed contracts with legendary gamers Michael 'Ahl' Korduner, Christer 'Fisker' Eriksson and Tommy 'Potti' Ingemarsson a few months ago, however, the purpose of these contracts was not to create a new competitive gaming team that would challenge the teams that are competing for titles in competitive events.

Following the success of SpawNs and HeatoNs products we wanted to assemble a team consisting of the five most legendary players of all times to ensure that ZOWIE GEAR has the best gamers researching and developing on our future equipment for use in competitive gaming. The experience and dedication by professional gamers allows us to stay on top and provide the best possible gear available. Who has more experience and knowledge about gaming and gaming gear than these guys?

Where the original idea was to give you a wider range of competitive gaming gear developed by the most legendary players of all times, your interest and enthusiasm about a possible "NiP"-revival has made us consider the possibility of a showmatch between the ZOWIE team and a newschool team.

As it would be very difficult for us to convince these players to play a showmatch where they would most likely lose, we will need your help to make this happen.  If you would like to see these players in action one more time, help us start a discussion in the forums you are frequently visiting and ask these questions:

Why should they make a comeback in a showmatch?
Who should they play against if they do decide to make a comeback?

Abdisamad 'SpawN' Mohamed is a Swedish Counter-Strike Player. SpawN is one of the best players in the world, he played for teams such as SK Gaming and the legendary team of Ninjas in Pyjamas. His greatest achievements include winning the World Cyber Games 2003 and the CPL summer and winter of 2005 in the Texas metropolis of Dallas.

About HeatoN
Emil 'HeatoN' Christensen is a Swedish professional Counter-Strike player, formerly playing as captain of the gaming team Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP). He is widely regarded as one the best Counter-Strike players in the world and is well known for his mastery of the "spray technique", which involves controlling the recoil of the gun by precise mouse movements rather than allowing the recoil to settle.


About Potti
Famous for his "kebab-quote", Tommy "Potti" Ingemarsson was a professional gamer and the founder of Ninjas In Pyjamas (NiP). He, along with teammate and long-time friend HeatoN, is one of the best Counter-Strike players of all-time. His most recognized skills are his "teamplay, crazy aiming and burst/usp skills" as team members stated. He is also known for his leading and tactical abilities. From 2000 to 2005 Potti never placed below 4th at a CPL despite attending 14 of them.

About Ahl
Michael 'ahl' Korduners biggest impact was to start out as one of those up and coming players who impresses the elites but not to simply fit in as yet another flashy aimer or big fragger but rather to assess the situation and adapt his game to plug the gaps so the team as a whole was stronger. To be able to win that first CPL after such a short space of time is a testament to his raw ability but the element of invincibility he added to SK.swe during their 2003 run shows how well he meshed his game with those of his team-mates.


About Fisker
Christer 'Fisker' Eriksson has played for several cs teams during his gaming career, notable mentions are the professional counter-strike teams NiP and SK Gaming. His signature "Fisker Face" (facial expression he does) won the hearts of many fans and even people who didn't follow him took notice. People loved it and he delivered what his fans wanted. In turn that shot his popularity up in world of E-Sports even more than ever.
