Adventures of SpawN and HeatoN, Dubai v1
17th of May

As a new feature for the fans and followers of SpawN and HeatoN, I will try to make a series of articles where I document and explain about the experiences that we have when we are on the road together.

Well, let's get the party started!

We have been invited to Dubai by BenQ-Middle East and QUE club owner Amer El Ayoubi for a Counter-Strike tournament taking place on the 20th and 21st of May in Amer's gaming centre, the QUE club, which is equipped with ZOWIE GEAR and the BenQ XL2410T monitor. BenQ has sponsored 20,000 AED (roughly 5,500 USD) for this tournament, an impressive amount for a Counter-Strike tournament in the UAE.

SpawN and HeatoN will function as hosts for this tournament, drawing the groups, speaking to media and handing over the prizes. If you want to know more about the Counter-Strike, please follow this link. HLTV.org is in Dubai covering the tournament, so you will be able to watch some good games!

Before the official tournaments starts on the 20th of May, SpawN and HeatoN will be playing against eachother in showmatches where they are the captains of their respective teams, trying to beat eachother to show who's best.

We had a similar setup during our visit to Dubai last September, where Team RED (Lead by SpawN) took an earthshaking victory against Team BLUE (Lead by HeatoN). Unfortunately this was not documented, but future events will. The question remains: Will SpawN stay on the throne or will he be knocked down by HeatoN who is craving for revenge? Time will tell.

The showmatches will be played in 5on5 format with MR15 rules, SpawN and HeatoN will randomly select their team-members amongst the gathered crowd in the QUE club.Read more about the showmatch setup here.

We will be leaving for Dubai tomorrow morning on the 18th of May. I will try to find time to update you daily with diary-like descriptions and documentation of our trip.

I will post the links on Facebook so you can comment and give feedback.

Stay tuned!
