Announcing the P-TF speed
On April 6th 2011 we announced the G-TF speed, a faster and thinner version of the very popular G-TF.
The original G-TF quickly became popular amongst gamers, as it was an innovative addition to an otherwise traditional market, where either clothpads or plasticpads had been dominating the market. In cooperation with Abdisamad ‘SpawN’ Mohamed we took a chance and developed a mousepad which had the best of both. Who thought it possible to combine the comfort and control of clothpads with the speed and performance of plasticpads, while also maintaining the flexibility of cloth and the durability of plastic?
Even so, you demanded an even faster mousepad and we gave you the G-TF speed. When designing the G-TF speed, we wanted to make sure that the design was closer to plasticpads, than clothpads, however still flexible. Therefore we introduced a unique base, which we had been working on for a while, in order to provide the mousepad with the necessary flexibility of a clothpad, while being thin enough to reseble the plasticpads, and also increasing its stability on the tabletop, compared to other mousepads.
We have only received one point of criticism on the G-TF and the G-TF speed.. they are too big! This is something we didn’t have in mind earlier, as it is a direct contradiction to the traditional assumption (of FPS gamers), that a mousepad for professional gaming can’t get big enough – but this is also what splits FPS gamers from RTS gamers in terms of mousepads.
We have of course had other alternatives for the gamers who preferred a smaller mousepad, but who are we to keep the possibly best mousepad in the world away from gamers, just because they have a smaller desk- or mousing-area? As so, we are happy to introduce the P-TF speed, so you can enjoy the same advantages as many gamers before you.
